Aikido basics will be taught also after the course at our tutored Saturdays.

Practising aikido begins by participating a beginners course. The course consists of 5 trainings and lasts for one weekend. The course program consists of some of the important basic aspects of Aikido:
- Etiquette: How to behave at dojo
- Ukemi: How to fall down safely
- Some basic Aikido techniques
Instruction is given in Finnish and English.
As Seitokai is affiliated with UniSport, it is required that the participants of Seitokai's basic course are students or employees of Univeristy of Helsinki, Aalto Univeristy, University of the Arts Helsinki, Hanken or other comparable institution.
There is no need to sign up to the course beforehand. For the course, you need clothes suitable for sports, sandals or related shoes to walk from the dressing room to the mat, and a towel.
After the basic course you can join the regular aikido classes of Seitokai.
